Chemo Day #8 + 4

11/02/2012:

9:04: I get a call from a client, but I am still half awake and half asleep and let it go to voicemail.

11:37: I get a call from another client, but I am still out of it, wow, this round of chemo has me down…

11:45: I get up out of bed, I let Buster out, I get my stuff together for my shower.

12:00: I jump into the shower.

12:10: I jump out of the shower.

12:25: I attempt to start my van and go to work, but my van won’t start.  Guess it’s because I havn’t started it in 4 days, and there is a slow drain on it from my radio that I need to replace.

12:50: I go across the street and ask for a jump from my neighbor.  He says he can, but it will have to be quick as he has a doctor’s appointment to go to.  While he gets his keys and moves his SUV, I hook up the wires to my battery.  We then work on unhooking his hood after he popped it.  I then hook up the cable and let it charge.  I try to start it twice, but not enough power has transferred yet to charge the battery to a starting point.

12:57: My van starts up, my neighbor is heading off to his doctor’s appointment.  I have a surge protector to install for a client, so I drive over to the office.

1:30: I install the surge protector.

1:40: Another client in the same office is having problems scanning, so I check out that problem while I am there too.  Funny thing is all they do is turn on the scanner/printer, and it works just like it should, and I didn’t touch it.  This seems to happen often that something doesn’t work until I show up, oh well, that was an easy fix.

2:00: I am headed back to my office.

2:15: I pick up 2 McDoubles from McDonalds.

2:30: I am back at my office.  I go across the hall and check on them as they are starting to pack up because they are going out of business.

2:50: I come back in the office and eat my McDoubles 🙂

3:00: I start sending out emails with the invoices and statements I ran last night.

3:25: I get an email from a client checking up on me after they got my invoice.  They were just about to send an email to see how I was doing.

3:40: I get a call from a client, they can’t get emails.  I connect to the computer, everything looks fine, I change a setting on the Outlook account, and they get their emails, I change the setting back, and they don’t have their emails, I change it back and they have their emails.  They are the only one in the organization working locally, everyone else is working via VMWare remotely without any issues.  We leave the settings changed to what is working for right now.

4:00: I get done with that client, and got an email from another client who sent me 2 documents to update their website with.  I change the documents to pdf format and then change the documents on the website to the new documents.

4:30: I email the client tell him that the documents on the website have been update.

5:00: I get an email from a client saying they can’t print correctly, I email them back, and the manager emails me back with a clearer description of the problem, I ask them if they chose another printer out the list does the same thing happen, they will check it out on Monday and let me know.

5:30: I email a client about a used phone system that I just installed in April for the company that is going out of business across the hall to see if they are interested.  They are interested and will review it and let me know as it gets closer to the end of the year as the business across the hall will be in business to December 31, 2012.

6:00: That’s it for today, I am tired of being at the office today, time for me to head on home.

6:15: I get home.  My dad has some Pork Chops on the pit.

7:00: The Pork Chops are ready.  I eat 9 of them, but skip the Shrimp Alfredo as the side.

8:00: I am done eating.  I go lay down in my bed and do some programming.

11:30: I made some breakthroughs on my programming, but enough programming for tonight.  Time to go relax and game for a little bit.

11:59: I am gaming 🙂  Today is over!
